If you can tell us the brand and model when you call, we'll usually bring the right parts on the first visit.

Every repair is preceded by a transparent diagnostic fee that's credited back against the work if you go ahead — and you'll have a fixed written price before we lift a spanner.

Should I repair my old stairlift or replace it?

We'll always give you an honest answer. As a rule of thumb, if the lift is under 10 years old, has been serviced and the fault is a single component (battery, charger, motor, remote) it's worth repairing. If multiple parts are failing, the rail is corroded, or the cost approaches that of a stairlift replacement, we'll recommend new — but only if it genuinely saves you money long-term.

My stairlift is making an unusual noise — can I still use it?

Stop using the lift and call us. Grinding, clicking or scraping noises usually mean a worn gear, a foreign object on the rail or a failing roller — continuing to ride the lift can turn a small repair into a much larger one or create a safety risk. We'll attend the same day and diagnose it properly.

Do you carry spare parts on the van?

Yes. Our engineers carry common batteries, fuses, charge points, seat motors, key switches, remote controls and safety sensors as standard. For Bruno-specific parts we stock common components in our Plymouth workshop and can usually get them on the van within 24 hours.
