If a less-common part is needed we'll order it the same day and quote the cost before fitting anything.

Stairlift servicing prevents most breakdowns

Annual stairlift servicing is the single most effective way to avoid emergency call-outs. The service includes a full safety check, battery condition test, lubrication of moving parts, inspection of the rail and charge points, and a test of every safety system (brake, seatbelt, edge sensors, key switch).

Most of our long-term customers have annual servicing built into their aftercare plan. It typically extends the life of a stairlift to well over 10 years and catches small problems before they leave you stranded upstairs.

When a repair isn't worth it

Occasionally a stairlift reaches the point where the cost of repair is genuinely higher than the cost of replacement — usually with very old lifts where the manufacturer no longer makes the parts. If that's the case we'll tell you honestly, give you a written quote for the repair, and a written quote for a stairlift replacement, and let you make the decision.

If you do decide to replace, we offer a removal and recycling service for the old lift and can usually fit a stairlift replacement within 24–72 hours.
