Who this page is for

  • NHS and local authority OTs assessing stair mobility risk
  • Independent OTs preparing private adaptation recommendations
  • Hospital discharge teams arranging stairlifts before a patient comes home
  • Care providers, case managers and DFG officers commissioning adaptations

How we work with OTs

Refer a client by phone, email or via your local DFG team. We respond the same working day to agree a survey slot — including evenings and Saturdays where needed for working family members. Our surveyor measures the staircase, talks through the user's mobility and writes a fixed quote that itemises the lift, rail, installation, warranty and zero-rated VAT where it applies. If the client has chosen us as the supplier on a council-funded job we work directly with the relevant adaptations officer to align paperwork and timescales.

Service standards

Every installation is carried out by directly employed engineers trained to BHTA Code of Practice standards. All lifts come with a written commissioning report, a 12 or 24-month warranty and a same-day breakdown call-out promise. We currently service Bruno stairlifts and are actively expanding to cover other major brands soon — please ask about a specific make when a client has inherited an older lift you'd like checked.

Rental and short-term options

For clients with a defined recovery window — post-hip-replacement, post-fall or palliative — we offer short-term rental from one month onwards. Rental includes installation, removal, warranty and breakdown cover, with no minimum-term penalty if the client recovers faster than expected. This is often a useful conversation when a permanent adaptation isn't yet justified.

Reports, evidence and audit

Following installation we provide a typed report including model, serial number, rail length, commissioning date, engineer name and a photograph of the finished install. This sits comfortably in a DFG audit file or a private case-management record. We're insured to £5m public liability and DBS-checked on request.
